Couldn't disagree more. If you want to smile in the morning, listen to Chris Moyles or Wogan, watch GMTV or some comedy channel.
I want news in the morning and there isn't a single channel other than Sky News that provides this.

Sure, but you're the one who suggested people should listen to the radio if they want something to smile about in the morning. So why not listen to the radio if you want some news?

Just out of curiosity, anyone know what the viewing figures are like for Breakfast on a Saturday?

Yes, but there's choice on both.

I'm sure he would have given a good performance had he presented but it appears that the source was incorrect as Bill and Charlie have been on this week.
It'd be nice to see Declan present the programme at some point but I doubt that he'll ever get his chance, unless it's around Christmas time.

Caught Breakfast between 8 and half past this morning - and I have to say, what i got was a decent half hour of news....for a change there wasn't anything of real fluffiness...they kept the hedgehogs till after 8.30. lol
There was a comprehensive news round up - it was longer than 10 mins - good mix of stories too, followed by an interview with Amy Winehouse's father....whatever we think of that...it is now a news story, and was quite a good wee interview..weather, comprehensive business round up, then something competley forgettable, but none the less must have been interesting at the time.
Shame it can't be like this most mornings, instead we get pointless *debates* on issues that are barely news related...hey ho.

Susannah Streeter was presenting this morning with Charlie Stayt. She did pretty well both with her newsreading and interviewing and was quite warm and friendly in style.
Also I've noticed that Sarah Campbell has improved this year in presenting the programme as she seems to have a bit more life and personality about her.
