good for dermot - he moved from itv, i think, in the hope he'd get a primetime slot. never see him on n24 tho - don't think he's ever been totally happy. my money's on him going to al jazeera but maybe not with him being a family man - does british al jazeera still broadcast from the middle east or london?

I think your right about him only moving to BBC to get into primetime but the problem is there is no vacant. He is fantastic on the ten but I can't see Huw or Fiona leaving for a good few years yet or them being moved. The only other program is the six Confused: And what with him being a family man he must be bored of the early morning wake ups for the past five years.

Regarding N8 they could get orange chairs with a simmiler style of film 24 for the pod

Why though?

It would cost yet more money, and if I'm not mistaken the chairs are grey.

Just what is your obsession with orange furniture?

I hate you. Perhaps you should stand in the News 24 set.

As for your second question, they did take that large awful sofa they had in their final TC7 set down and put in the second screen area at Christmas a few years back. Looked rather good.

I like the Falklands Coverage On Breakfast this week. How long would it take to produce five documentries on it for the 20 past the hour Breakfast slot?

A slight tweak to the scripted opening of Breakfast this morning, not sure whether it's permanent?

Opening shot: 'Hello, this is Breakfast with Sian Williams and Dermot Murnaghan'.
Cue VT: Headline read
Run titles:
Opening shot: 'It's Tuesday June 6th'

Difference being: 'That's our main story this morning on Tuesday June 6th'...has been scrapped.

It's been like that for over a week now.

I think it would be better:-

Opening shot: It's six/seven/eight o'clock, the headlines this morning.
VT Headline read
Run titles with voiceover: This is breakfast from BBC News with Bill Turnbull and Sian Williams.

With regards to the possibility of Dermot leaving, Bill should take the main job with Charlie as reserve (he is quite good with Susanna IMO). Bill was quite unlucky not to get it in 2002, and I think it was the last minute defection of Dermot that cost him the job in the first place.

they could do that at weekends, they could move it down straight after breakfast on friday so there is need to hire staff at weekends, leave it down in N8 and assemble it in the pod in the early hours off saturday morning surley the crew in N8 could put 3 pices of sofa together Exclamation
