BTW, there was a very nice "behind the scenes" report on Breakfast which I recorded purely by chance after leaving for work (I was aiming for the report on the Junior Doctor/MTAS debacle as it's my job! - I don't normally leave Sky+ running).

I'll transfer it to MP11 and stick it on here in a bit. It's quite good.

Great!!! I saw that, it was really good. I was waiting for someone to upload it!

I had to upload it to YouTube as it was too big a Gorilla! and obviously TVF can't handle it as it's nearly 10Mb.

But here are the best snaps I could find off it. I will post on here the link to YouTube when then have finished sussing that it's not a porn vid! Shocked

Watching today's Breakfast throughout 6-8, I noticed they said the date after the titles instead of in the main story sting. When did they start doing that? It's a bit weird IMO.

It appears to be a one off just for today as the main story took up two lines of script as opposed to the usual one line because it was a special Breakfast investigation. The date after the titles has occurred in the past when there has been a similar type of main story (Breakfast investigation, presenter on location etc.)

Kate in Lesotho! I wonder why they don't send Sian, Bill or Dermot, given that they are the principal anchors on the programme.

Odd occurrence on the regional news at just before 07.30 Look East opted for West of the region but not for the East, despite the bulletin appearing to be from Norwich. I assumed a sub region would only be able to opt if the main region had.

Suspect you were watching on digital TV rather than analogue?

AIUI on analogue Cambridge just gets the Norwich BBC One analogue feed with Norwich opted-out in it.

HOWEVER - for digital there is a slaved opt-out switch in Cambridge that is driven by the opt-out switch in Norwich (and drops a feed of Norwich sent to Cambridge into the digital stream). If the Norwich opt-out switch doesn't happen for some reason, the Cambridge one still can.
