Since i was a lazy sod this morning, and slept in, was Breakfast in rolling news election mode, or did it go to its usual post 8.30 fluff?
The fluff was postponed until around 8.50am today, ISTR.

could they not move some of the sofa and coffee table into the N8 pod for weekend breakfast.they dont use much of the studio they seem to do everything from the desk. it would balance things, a bit more like they do on weekdays the news from the desk and other things from the sofa
plus they wouldnt have to take the full sofa because its in four or five parts isnt it Confused: so whats the problem why the desk all of the time Confused

They have moved part of the sofa in the past, but it is a little big for the area, and created some difficult camera angles. However, i don't see why they can't do, what they do for News 24 Sundays during the summer, and use the chairs and the small coffee table.

One other thing that i think makes Breakfast look inconsitant, is the graphics, why can they not use the same graphics all week regardless of what studio they are in, they use some of the Breakfast graphics for things like statements at the weekend, but use the News 24 astons, i guess Breakfast will get new graphics soon, utilising the Vizrt systems, hopefully they will provide some consitancy.

the breakfast team should use the same graphics at weekends it would look much neater.look even better back in the old 24studio was it N3 Confused:
Plus they should use the breakfast clock.the breakfast breaking news looks horrid though.

they could try the sofa in different parts of the pod and leave it in the place they think is best like i said the couldnt use every Piece but still
its better than the desk all of the time

Another thing that is a bit anoying at weekends is that the gallery team seem to cut the "also coming up on todays show " bed about 5 seconds after the opening sequence which means that the rest of the coming ups dont have a bed which sounds a bit stupid

how long will it be before breakfast gets a makeover in N6 ive never really warmed to that set my favorite set was the 2000-2002 set, big and had several different arias for different things

Moving the sofa would mean paying someone to move the sofa, and would also probably require a re-light, which again would mean paying someone.

Money doesn't grow on trees in the BBC - especially with every department having to make yet more savings now the licence fee has is not being increased as much as had been hoped.

will the set ever change in N6 since everything is now down to the screens

i prefer the proper sets not just screens with a grey floor, orange sofas and moved a desk to the other side of the studio the set runners Mustn’t change much to do that.but before N6 the sets were accually built with there own floors/walls if you know what i mean

how do they move the desk anyway Confused:

is it easy to move it looks quite heavy do they push it across the studio or is it lifted Confused:

around how long dose it take to pepair the set from national to breakfast i bet its nothing compaired to back in TC7 when sets were sets

plus they dont really have to move it in the behind the scenes clip when they were deciding were to put what for breakfast. the set was layed out with the desk were it normally is on the nationals and the sofa were the desk is for breakfast with the clouds backdrop so why move it in the first place it looked fine

The end of N6 where the sofa goes for Breakfast has a slightly longer video wall. It makes for better framed shots when there are a number of guests being interviewed at the same time.

Similarly the desk is moved for the national news bulletins because it allows for better use of the area to the right hand side for reports while standing up (which uses less space). It also makes the studio look different and more formal, as you would expect for a news bulletin.
