Did anybody see Natasha presenting Brekfast by herself this morning
(04/04/05) while Dermot was in the Vatican City. I thought she was excellent and handled it very well (please don't jump up and down and insult me because this is opinion).

What did everybody else think? Did she do well?

She didn't really as Moira was still there.

She was less patronising than when she co-hosts - but she gave an unusual above average performance today.

I meant she was on the sofa by herself on the sofa.

Will Natasha be presenting by herself while Dermot's in the Vatican City until the Pope's funeral.

Don't worry winifred, I certainly won't, because I too like Natasha. Yes, she did quite well, not that she doesn't normally. I think she seems a lot more comfortable on her own. Today was the first time I have really seen her interview (usually the TV is just on in the background) and I quite like her style.

With Dermot off at Vatican City, I would have thought someone else would have been drafted in to cover, Simon McCoy, Bill etc.... But there was just £Natasha£. I think it would have worked well moving Moira from behind the desk an placing her next to Natasha and having Moira read the headline from a different camera angle on the sofa.

Now on BBC One, in keeping with new regulations we watch Lorriane Heggessey rhymical danced into the ground. But first Ground Force.

Natasha really rose to the occassion didn't she? They should make her work hard for her money more often! I'd have liked to have seen Moira let out from behind the news desk, too. Natahsa did LOOK a little lost out there alone! BUT she didn't act it, so everything OK.

Changing the subject slightly...
I really like it when Breakfast covers a main story half in the studio and half on location, but the white strip along the screen containing 'Vatican City' seems to take my attention off the presenter (in this case Dermot) Do they really need to have an aston covering the length of the whole screen? It's bad enough on News 24, with that irritating box in the top left hand corner that more often than not, covers the reporters or interviewee's head!!

It's been a busy week for Dermot this week. Just fly back from the Vatican City as he presented Breakfast thoughout the weekend, he was in Bristol for the launch of Election campaign this morning.
There would be a long way to go for Breakfast as there will be the funeral for Pope, Royal wedding and Election 2005...
Keep at it!! Breakfast!

Do any of you remember the occasion a few years ago when Adrian Chiles popped up one day as a relief presenter on a Friday, sometime around the Christmas Holiday season?

It was at the time when Rob Bonnet, Darren Jordon and Bill Turnbull were just becoming more regular in their stand-in roles, so it was quite a surprise to see Adrian Chiles being wheeled in for one day only. I have never seen him present Breakfast ever since then.

The question I have is - who did Adrian co present along with on that day? It wasn't Sian or Sophie or Sarah, who were the other regulars at the time. I cannot for the life of me remember who it was.

Come on Brekkie Boy and BN - one of you must remember!!

I vaguely remember Adrian Chiles standing in during one of the weekends when News 24 moved to N9 (World), and I'm 80% sure he presented with Sian Williams. Not sure, though, if he ever did a main programme from TC7. If he did, is that the one you're talking about?

It was from the main studio TC7, and was at the regular desk that Jeremy and Sophie used to sit, with Moira close by. It was a Friday, I am sure.

Definately was NOT Weekend 24 and wasn't Sian. But, my brain is really racked with this one.

Yes I saw Breakfast this morning and it was brilliant (shame Moira wasn't presenting though). Dermot was in Bristol, Declan was in Solihull and Natasha was in the studio presenting by herself like she did on Monday whilst Dermot was in the Vatican City. Yet again Natasha did an excellent job presenting by herself. Very Happy (Don't attack me, this is my opinion and you are entitle to your own).
