So then how comes you cannot see the same lines where screens meet that you can with Newsnight, the nationals and Breakfast?

TC7 had its new set installed over a much longer period, something like a week as opposed to a weekend for N6. So there was time to pay a bit more attention to the set up, and perhaps lessons had been learned from the N6 installation when TC7 done.

The N6 ones do look a lot better now, the weather on the six is quiet hard to differentiate from CSO now.

EDIT: Some info from the company that make/supply the screens here http://www.electrosonic.com/news_060710.shtm

Wow, is there some palce where you can buy your own set, which model you can choose. That is almost exactly like the breakfast set, complete with the squares on the ceiling!

I I just cannot stand Susanna Reid - I find her patronising and boring.

II still say bring back Mishal Husain, or if necessary, Natasha Kaplinsky - I feel she did Breakfast proud. Dermot needs to leave, but Bill and Sian are both very, very good - one of the only things about breakfast.

.

couldn't agree more that susannah reid makes me cringe - leaning & looking adoringly towards her male presenter when handing over links makes me cringe - for godsake the woman's in her mid 30s with 3 or 4 kids - it's just totally false and must be embarrasing for the recipricant and their partners - her baby voice makes me cringe too - this is N24 and while i'm at it we've had to endure squeaky voiced ellie from newsround recently - why isn't natasha brought in to fill slots on N24 - i like her a lot and thinks she gets an easy ride out of her contract in comparison to everyone else who does long shifts - it must cause some resentment amongst other presenters - although i'm sure they're all doing a job they love anyway. I note Sophie does N24 shifts so Natasha should too!!

How can you say that it must cause some resentment. Do you know the content of each of their contracts. Surely they will all be different and paid according to what they do and their contracts say. Some presenters may actually enjoy the variety of doing a news bulletin such as the One, and then going on to doing some rolling news on News 24. Different challenges provide variety that some people enjoy, others might not.

Really? You should have told us sooner.

I don't want to offend anyone but...

WHAT IS EVERYONE'S PROBLEM WITH NATASHA KAPLINSKY?

When anyone says they like her, people judge that person just because of that and end up mocking them for liking her. I think that on this forum, maybe people should just allow people to their own opinions, not critisise them.

Sorry Shocked

I'm not criticising marykate for her opinion, merely her expressing it all the bloody time, and talking about little else.

Sorry! I didn't only mean you, it just seems to come from a lot of people.

My problem with Natasha K is partly that she's come a LONG way in a really short time which, to me at least, makes me feel like she's an unexperienced journalist who is simply doing as told. She never runs out of time during interviews as she never goes in depth enough compared to someone like Sophie Raworth who is always having to hold back at the end, I just feel everything's far too rehearsed and basic with Natasha.

On the note about Susanna, I still don't understand why she ever started on Breakfast in the first place.

Husain had only been back at work for seven months when she discovered she was going to have twins and she had just been given her big break, moving from BBC World to presenting BBC Breakfast, the traditional grooming ground for future network stars.
And for a long time on the Breakfast website under presenter profiles it said that Susanna was back to cover Mishal's maternity leave, so why did they then put Mishal back to Breakfast.

I understand that some people felt that Mishal was a bit too serious and experienced for Breakfast, which I strongly disagree, but compared to Susanna she was perfect. Like when Susanna knocked Bill's tea/coffee over, Sian or Mishal or even Natasha wouldn't have interupted Bill in the headlines to say 'Oh dear I've spilled your coffee all over your leg' but would at least have waited until after the headlines.

In my view Mishal should return to Breakfast, and Susanna should do some relief work across the BBC as well as the weekend news.
