Don't sell yourself short vikki, you could make it . Are you interested in trivia and celebrity , not too keen on real news , willing to work through the night ? Prepared to have a ridiculous hair style , cover yourself in orange make up sleep with a lot of bbc mangement and perhaps even marry one , if so your future could be a part of Breakfast .

Having seen a few of the BBC Breakfast podcasts I have to say this Kate of yours doesn't seem half bad at all. But that's only the 10-minute news-in-a-flash type thing, not the actual show, so I couldn't really comment.
Lee Lin Chin presents SBS's (newly-relaunched, and now hour-long) weeked World News Australia, and does a mighty fine job I might ad. She's an excellent journalist, although right now she's only on every second weekend. Very, very, recognizable SBS presenter.
Also has her own short-ish fashion show too: http://www.sbs.com.au/fashionista/#

You obviously think a lot of the female presenters, then! I must say I take the point your making but I think most of them have the ability to be professional journalists most of the time . . . the orange make-up . . . and sleeping with management seems to be obligatory now!

Am I the only one who doesn't like this show anymore? When I look back on greats such as Frank Bough and Selina Scott, John Stapleton, Nicholas Witchell and others, and now look at the 'oh-so-worthy' Dermot Murnaghan, 'I'm so great' Kate Silverton, the stuttering Susanna Reid, the charisma-free Bill Turnbull, and 'I'm so beautiful' Charlie Stayt it actually brings a tear to my eye

In other news , at the 0700 TOTH, I noticed that a change has been made to the Breakfast titles. Where previously numerous

logos would be visible scrolling around within the vortex/sunrise animation, the logo has now been changed to a completely inappropriate and inconsistent

version of the logo. I can find no explanation for why this has been changed, and I don't know if this is a change that was made today or if it has been in place for some time. At this stage, we also cannot discount the possibility that I imagined this shocking change due to my crushing hangover.
All I do know is it made me squash my blob of Blu-Tac in disgust.

Why is Breakfast coming from N6 this morning?
And why if in N6 are they using a fake World/N24 background? Why not use Breakfast?

By the way - can I say:

Its because of Phase II of the Electrical Testing.
NO SET CHANGES ARE HAPPENING - N8 will be SHUT!
Just clarifying matters.. thank you.

If that's the case, I'll be most disappointed - the sentence-case Swiss-based logo looks surprisingly weak compared to the current upper-case Gill Sans-based logo.

I just noticed it too...
perhaps its a change rolling out over all of BBC News, moving from Gill Sans in the logo to match the SWISS of the graphics
