I thought that prog with the ex burglar was on @ 915 normally?

(Not that I notice normally. Some of us do have jobs that are not in the broadcast industry. (Grocery wholesaler that operates a franchise(for want of a better word!) for a leading conveience store chain, in my case !))

I think they've recently stopped that programme in order for Breakfast to be extended to 9.30am.

To be honest, I don't think they stop programmes simply for Breakfast to be extended - it's the other way round in fact, Breakfast is only extended to fill gaps in the schedule.

And this coming week, it's back to a 9:15 finish.

I personally thought it was better when it finished at 9.00 because it seems to drag after 9.00 and also with it finishing later it needs more entertainment news which is all pretty much the same.
If they're going to extend it then they need to extend it until 9.30 and have someone at a National Trust property like they did in summer 2004 with Nicky Chapman every Friday.

I think it ought to finish at 09.00, and adopt the 'newsier' feel it had up until November 2002. Headline recaps every fifteen minutes would be good instead of plugging the light-hearted stuff all the time. Also, finishing at 09.00 would mean about 15 minutes of the light-hearted stories, which is about right. It always worked perfectly like that between 2000 and 2002.

Definately. A couple of insiders hinted that the headline updates would be coming back, whilst i believe it was Marcus who said that moving into N24 was an option for them - does anyone have any more on this?

Interesting to see they played out the old Breakfast signature tune this morning at 6am on BBC 2! Is this a return to the old signature tune or just a one off??

Interesting to see Tazeen Ahmad (BBC Three News) doing the news summaries on Breakfast this morning...

I really don't know why they have to use such an extensive list of newsreaders on Breakfast. IMO, it doesn't add variety or freshness to the programme, but rather smacks of dragging up any old person to do a job that nobody really wants! (i.e. it's not a very prestigious slot, it seems to infer).

I do not mean anything disresectful to any of the presenters who fill-in on a Thursday and Friday (so please don't all start throwing stones at me), but it now seems hard to keep track of who is doing it. At least when Kate Sanderson was a regular, she was there religiously on a Thursday and Friday as Moira's replacement.

I wonder if Moira will revert back to doing 4 days on Breakfast, as before, when Frostie comes to an end later on.

I think it is probably due to the fact that Gillian Joseph is taking time of, and Tazeen has now become 3rd presenter. Surprised they didnt bring Moira in to do an extra day though

Well, Gillian Joseph's been on BBC London of late... so that's probably why she's not on Breakfast!
