Anyone know if we'll get that rather splendid looking Breakfast backdrop during the winter? (the one on the set preview video on the relaunch day)

I'm sure Louise Minchin has already done weekend Breakfast between the 2000 relaunch and now.
I can't remember seeing her, but i'm sure she has.
It will certainly be nice to see her on the national news. I've always believed she should get a few weekend bulletins, as most News 24 presenters do.

She was on before she went on maternity leave in 2004 (I remember somebody making the joke about Bill Turnbull's co-presenters becoming pregnant) and IIRC she was even on with Jon Sopel one weekend.

This would doubtless partly explain last week, when Charlie did a week alongside Louise on News24, presumably to get to know each other's presenting in preparation for Breakfast.
As for Charlie, I think he's warming to the role much more now, and appears more relaxed. He looked and sounded a lot better on Sunday with Susanna.

I doubt it. It's pretty much dark at 6am now, and there's no sign... plus it wouldn't fit in with the new style.
There will be a special Christmas backdrop - and I think you'll quite like it....

Well you'll find out nearer Christmas.....
...and while we're on the subject BBC News 24 will have a Christmas Tree up much longer than normal this year... will be interesting to see what Sky do with their new look.

Really? Don't really see how Christmas can fit into the current look.

Sky relaunched in October 2005, so we've already seen it -- it's just a newswall loop that looks quite nice and a few trees around the place. Nothing spectacular.
