To be fair I was watching the weather today and the gap isn't evident at all. I think they may have properly sorted the screens out now?

Not totally, no. Particularly when they;re doing the flypast weather, it's very noticeable when the little boxes with wind speeds and suchlike pass from one screen (towards the right) to another - it kind of distorts.

Fix it, BBC! Rolling Eyes

Thanks for the clip - it was nice to see it again. Quite a good apology anno from Duncan as well on the credits, which I missed when I first saw it.

Charlie Stayt has now been added to the Breakfast presenters page and is described as "the regular face of Breakfast at the weekend". Presumably Bill is now going to be doing more weekday shows as he covers for Dermot who always seems to be covering for somebody else these days.

maybe someone should post a rota of the presenters on BBC News to allow us to cross reference our ones at home?

Bit of a cockup on BBC London before the 6:25 bulletin... they failed to opt out so viewers in London saw the Breakfast studio for a little while before a "Breakfast" caption came up - then a few seconds later BBC London managed to opt out.

BBC London do not OPT during Breakfast - they are cut up by the N6 gallery. There was probably a problem getting the source - hence the Breakfast Caption was cut up by the Vision Mixer till the London source was found.

Did this affect the regional opts in some way?

I caught the last minute of Midlands Today at the same time & thought the opt went back to London a bit sharpish, but I was getting my Cornflakes at the time so didn't have my full attention on it!

Thats good, Louise is great and I'm glad she is getting some national exposure (even if it is with the dull Charlie Stayt).

Hopefully one day we will see Jon Sopel and Louise together on a national bulletin (I.E. the Six), they're great on News 24.
