more importantly however, I notice they used a strange little Breakfast CSO background yesterday. Has that been used before?

Yes it has been used a few times recently particularly in interviews from Westminster instead of a view of Big Ben.

Also, surprising to see Rebecca Lowe on with the sport this morning. I would have expected Mike Bushell or Mary Rhodes if Chris and Sue are both unavailable.

Was there some kind of Breakfast p*ss-up last night or something meaning all the usual team were unavailable this morning?

Who was presenting this morning then??? Remember folks its August and we usually get some unusual pairings in august.....

Strange lineup.

They could have used Michael Monday-Thursday as he is a more familiar face to Breakfast viewers.

But maybe they want to promote Julian?

What does Michael Peschardt do the rest of the time? I haven't seen or heard him report from Australia, or anywhere else, for a very very long time.

Good to see Julian get a shot on BBC One. I suspect caps coming up next week?

I don't ever remember Breakfast being so short staffed as they are currently, however it is giving interesting pairings to say the least. I'm surprised Jon Sopel hasn't cropped up on the presenter rota as he used to be one of the regular cover presenters a couple of years ago.
