As for the weather, it needs to stay outside but should be done out on location at different places each week so we don't always get them on the roof.

This used to happen more often - but in the current climate of cost-saving I suspect the extra costs required to send a camera crew, links vehicle and presenter around the UK would be difficult to justify. (It might even be cheaper to bring them back into the studio...)

Why did they send them outside anyway, in the first place?

The only other regular breakfast service who did this was 5 News Early, with the lovely Tanya James & her 'strange' wardrobe !

(What ever happened to her? She was gorgeous & bonkers too! I know she appeared on 'It shouldn't happen to a Weather Presenter', but that's the last I saw of her !)

Can i Just say after watching BIG MOIRA and her front page review of the papers......I just want to hear her say "Cruz The Daddy" over and over and over. Im never usually up early enough to see the Moira Briefing but after seeing it today I would like to see her front the whole programme..........do away with Natasha & Dermot (Give Bill & Sian a BBC1 Daytime show together). At least they would save money because they wouldnt have to pay Natasha or Dermot.

Anybody else think this!!!

Yes, I do. Moira Stuart is an institution. She should be given a more prominent role in the programme. Full stop.

I *finally* got up in time today and watched half of BIG MOIRA'S breifing. She was fabulous naturally but it does seem odd having her on the sofa as it was clearly a different style when they were at the desk. Now it's kindof like "where have the two fab presenters gone?"

On a brekkie note. Why does Michael Howard always talk to Dermot and never to Natasha?

They did it from the South Bank for a while then moved to the roof. I don't know, probably to add a bit of pace to the show, instead of doing it from a weather studio. ISTR Carol doing it on the sofa one time... around the power cut, there's a pic on TV Radio Bits.

Hymagumba, I can't believe the error you made in your post above. I mean, you of all people!!!!!!!!!!

The Diva of Breakfast Television will be mightily disappointed that you have dropped a letter from her name.

By the way, does Moira conduct interviews and two-ways on the new format? And is there no sports presenter at all? Either way, I am glad that she is once again sitting in the hot seat.

She does handovers to OB's, and occassionally conducts a short interview, but only with a correspondent. She did this even before the new format though.

No, Rob Bonnet still presents the sport, but doesn't appear with Moira on the sofa at the start, but appears at 6.20. I personally preferred it with them both at the desk.

Oooooooooh, has anyone got a still of Moira on the sofa? Please.

Dermot is the main presenter and therefore gets the main guests and possibly the more challenging interviews. The female presenter tends to do interviews with other guests leaving it to the man to do the politicians. We saw this when Breakfast interviewed Tony Blair; Dermot presented Friday's Breakfast instead of the rest of the week.

Breakie, Breakie, Breakie. Sorry Terry Wogan wins every time....
anyhoo enough about that.
Question time: Would it be "acceptable" for the World Today for the BBC World newsroom to replace Breakfast on News24. Im aware BBC News is on a bit of a cutback so why not have TWT broadcast on News24 from 5 to 9, like it is already on World, and cut back Breakfast budget as a programme "exclusive" to BBC One.
It just an idea I had banging around it my head, feel free to point me in the ways of my errors.
