I thought it was nice the way they finished the program today. It will be strange not having sian on breakfast for a while.
Do we know who will be replacing her?
Presuming Mishal is still off I'd say Susanna with Kate then on weekends unless we see a (welcome IMO) return of Jules Botfield to the sofa.

As has been mentioned earlier in this thread, Kate is doing Sians maternity leave and Susanna will remain at weekends.
By the way over the summer watch out for some new presenters on the Breakfast sofa. Like Joanna Gosling, Julian Worriker and Jules Botfield.

PS: Glad you liked the Star Trek 'Beaming'
Will Sarah Campbell be sending us to sleep again as well?

Michael Peschardt will be worth tuning in for this weekend, making a welcome return - it's been good to see Noel Thompson puttingn in some shifts recently too.
I'm also pleased for Julian too if he puts in a few shifts on Breakfast, he's an excellent presenter and it's good to see he's been noticed away from 5 Live on News 24.
So if Kates stepping in for Sian - - who will be stepping in for Kates shift on N24?
I think Kate will eventually be promoted onto the main bulletins whether it is Breakfast or a National Bulletin - - shes hardly been on News 24 of recent months.

Yes, it is bizarre how she has become serious news anchor after years of Changing Rooms and Ground Force (or similar).
It may seem bizarre but Kate really is very good and I'm pleased to hear that she's going to be filling in for Sian. She's one of the best presenters on BBC news at the moment IMO - excellent delivery, appropriately personable and always professional.
She's also been turning her hand to other stuff - Newsnight, Royal Ascot, Triathlon - it's good to see her doing so well. And she's been working very hard recently - whenever she hasn't been on Breakfast or anything else, she has still been on News 24 doing her shift, and even covered a weekday afternoon and this Sunday morning just gone, so she's been hard at work for quite some time.
