I was watching Sky News a few weeks ago and they did a piece live from Glasgow, from the "Italian" centre in the city, just prior to the world cup final.
A Sky reporter was on the scene, doing a vox pop of Glasgow Italians who were settlign down to watch the game in a bar. There was a huge plasma in the background with Moira on, reading the news on BBC1, on a Sunday, early evening. So, has she taken over weekends completely?

One hopes so............
Good to have you back James! Anyway, enough of the pleasentries.
Moira has so far, waiting to be shot down, done one of the full weekend shifts - but what a pleasure it was to see her back on again.
TV Forum's excitement was however quelled the next weekend with the return of Mr Jordon. Yeap, Mr Smily himself.
I have only just managed to watch the nice tribute to Moira made by the Breakfast team when she did her last day on the programme. It was nice to see Moira in such a relaxed way and even shed a tear!
However, totally SPOILED by the condescending and nursery school tone of Sian Williams. For Christ sakes Sian, you were talking to a grown woman, not a schoolkid or someone with learning difficulties.
Moira Stuart is a legend indeed. Or a National Treasure indeed.
And at one point he was armed with a copy of the Western Mail showing the sports page... how did he get that in London? I'm sure it's not available nationally?
Yes, making one of his infrequent appearances...remember the 'good old days' when he presented every Friday...the Jon Nicolson era - where is Jon now anyway?

No idea...but that's a waste that nobody has snapped him up...his dry humour and superb interviewing skills, as well as getting on with whoever he co-presented with, are sorely missed.
Yes, both Noel and Jon were great. Either would do the show very nicely. I still think that Dermot should be packed off to the 6 or the 10. He's a good presenter, but he just doesn't quite suit Breakfast., But Bill on with Sian on Mon to Thurs, and bring Jon or Noel to weekends.
On a similar note, I notice that Simon McCoy's profile has gone from the Breakfast website; I assume that this means that Charlie Steyt is now officially the show's third male presenter. A shame really, I much preferred Simon.
As for the stand ins, Mike Pescherdt has already done one stint this year, I think. So I'm not sure if he'll fly back from Oz. Michael Buerk was a little wooden on the sofa, I think. I guess Declan would be worth a try, or Chris Hollins.

Joel,
I was delighted to see that google is now listing Moira as Dr. Moira Stuart OBE, on account of her various honours!!! Or, should I say
DR. BIG MOIRA O.B.E
.
