I prefer the new background of Breakfast - a lot more warmer and inviting feeling. The clouds were too deep and cold feeling. The warmer colours obviously give a more morning and fresher feel and it blends in better with the opening titles. The blues just did not fit in!

DId anyone see the wonderful Paddy O'Connell on the Business this morning? he should certainly replace Declan.

Ian of old
But of course if Paddy O'Connell - utterly fab that he is - becomes a regular on Breakfast, it'll lead to Breakfast being cancelled:

- Celebdaq TV (OK he was there all along)
- Liquid News
- BBC Three News.

All gone within a few months of Paddy appearing. Very Happy

(And before anyone with an irony deficiency carefully picks holes in this argument, it's only a joke.)

I hope paddy does the same trick for breakfast as he did for the others Smile ( and i dont care if it is a joke ).Laughing

Working Lunch would be missed if that sufered the same possible fate too as he's been on there a few times recently as well.

Though World Business Report is still going strong. Paddy O'Connell deserves far more than he actually gets to be honest - he's a cracking presenter, both serious and non-serious. And he can make me use the word "cracking" without an injection of irony.

Broadcasting House is still around, but I don't think anybody is up at that time on Sunday morning to notice...

Yep's that right he is an excellent presenter, just unfortunate his show's keep getting axed, maybe he should come back to WBR again!

It's got a podcast, which I find to be a handy summary of the week's news, and generally listen to it on the way to a pub quiz on a Monday evening.

He only does the Friday editions, and he was off for a couple of weeks to do Eurovision and to take a break!

Oh - and I hated those clouds, it looked like bad wallpaper, you couldn't tell the backdrop was on a flashy screen!

Is it me or has Julia Botfield borrowed a Kate Silverton original to present the build up to Ascot for Breakfast?

I think my nan will be upset that someone's nicked her dining room curtains.
