an improvement, I think it's a shame they've ditched the clouds altogether. They seem to have now abandoned what was supposedly the idea that the background would change depending on the season.
I think they could have kept the idea, but fragmented the clouds more like the 1/6/10 background.
A mix of the new one and the clouds, like this...

...would have been better. It's all too orange now?

I don't think the clouds like that looks right at all. it just isn't the same. It'd be nice if it animated a bit though, like scrolled along the screens slowly.

Warming up
At the start of May, Breakfast moved to a new studio with a new look and two enormous video walls made up of several screens.
Since then, we've been making a few minor changes.
But as of today, we've really warmed things up.
Breakfast's Editor David Kermode explains:
We've been in our new home for a month now, so we've had time to settle in and listen to what our viewers think of our new look.
The general view appeared to be that, while our blue skies and cloud were light and bright, they looked a bit cold.
So, based on what Breakfast's loyal viewers told us, we've decided to warm it all up a bit, with some of the oranges and reds that we use in our opening 'titles', taken from images of sunrises around the UK.
We've also made the design a bit more detailed, to cover some of the joins between our state-of-the-art screens. Some of you said the joins - some called them 'cracks' - were irritating, so we've tried to deal with them.
Initially feedback seems really positive - and our viewing figures continue to rise, suggesting that we're hopefully getting it right.

That looks like Bill and Sian are presenting the ITV News Channel and just about to handover to the weather!

Yeah, but all I've done is coloured it blue and added some clouds. It's pretty much ITV with the squares behind them as it is...

I do prefer this new background. The bright colours before; brilliant blue sky, bright orange Breakfast screen and bright red sofa clashed in all honesty. Caps from the first programme show how Sian's royal blue top didn't help either.

Pity they couldn't have used one of the other backgrounds.
