Have the light boxes always been white during breakfast?

Some nice sweeping shots used this morning too.

Yes they have; here's a cap from relaunch day (2 May):

But gregmc is right. The boxes hat a slightly different colour this morning. They had some kind of a blue tint (don't know how to describe it correctly).

Hum... they were slightly duller... well they were different anyway! They werent so much bright white.

Simon's on with Kate this morning. Strange because it said Bill in the Radio Times and at the end of yesterday's programme Charlie Styat said Kate would be back with Bill tomorrow.

Maybe he's fallen ill or has to stand in on the Six?

Could be either; I was just higlighting the fact that this must be a late change of plan.

These marks are getting stupid. There must be a way to remove them... I understand a few due to all the moving desks.... but they must realise its obvious to the average viewer now, Rolling Eyes

You're absolutely right. Many of them just look like scuff marks which are easily wipeable (is that a word?). They don't look like scratches to me, so why isn't anyone doing anything about it?

The whole new set for Breakfast I'm afraid to say proboably looked remarkably good on paper, but has been built in a bit of a shoddy fashion. The screens didn't line up, there are marks on the floor, the corners of the set are awful . . . the list goes on.

Full marks to the designers, but the builders look like they've done half a job and scarpered. Ah well, that's builders for you I suppose!

Now I personally thought that the corners were getting better.

Yes they are getting better, but they're still pretty awful! I have to say that they are looking much more aligned with one another which is good!

Perhaps someone can relay this thread to the BBC hierachy via their intranet? Very Happy

The floor is being sorted this weekend...
Also Breakfast will be undergoing a small tweak in its set, hopefully, this monday. It's well known that the cloud backing has been a problem, but rather than try different umpteen designs, the designers have gone away - looked at it - and the new incarnation will be revealed on monday (if all goes well).
Along with this Breakfast will be using more of the desk and less of the sofa between 0600 - 0830.

I think they should just put a red rug under the sofa part, that would cover the marks atleast a small bit
