These marks are getting stupid. There must be a way to remove them... I understand a few due to all the moving desks.... but they must realise its obvious to the average viewer now,

This might be a soft question, but if 'Breakfast' & the Nationals come from the same studio, why don't they leave the furniture alone & stop moving it ?
'Breakfast' has a desk section, which could be used just as easily for the Nationals.
They wouldn't need to show the sofa section.
The only fly in the ointment is the 'standing up' issue IMO.

I have also started to notice the marks on the floor. Surely a quick touch-up with a paint brush every couple of days would solve the problem at minimal expense.
I understand that the desk is moved to the sofa area to allow greater flexibility with the set. The wall the desk is against during breakfast is considerably shorter than the area at the other end of the studio.
For all we know, these marks could be caused by cameras and other equipment being moved around the studio rather than the desk platform being wheeled across.

I love the new look now. I think it's a pretty decent effort from the BBC. It is now worn-in and has a comfort factor now.

Would be easy if the floor was painted - but it isn't. It is covered in a form of sticky backed plastic called martac. This gets ripped and marked - as can be seen.
This is common in smaller studios without studio doors to the outside world and without ground floor drainage - like the ones on the 6th floor (Liquid News had the same scuffed floor problem) - as you can't use floor paint in them - either for ventilation (for solvent based paint) or drainage (for water based paint that has to be washable) reasons.

But gregmc is right. The boxes hat a slightly different colour this morning. They had some kind of a blue tint (don't know how to describe it correctly).
