Anyone noticed the purple used in the animation cutting into the studio from the 6 titles in the behind the scenes video?

If you mean this ... then yes, and it just seems so wrong!

I actually really like it. Seems nice to depart from simply having such a rigid colour scheme. And combined with the animation works really nice, very More4-ish

Well, im more in favour of the titles simply fading away. I feel that the new animation makes BBC News look.... not-as-serious. The authoritive feel to it isnt there in the animation.

I like the idea of the titles going like that
I just feel more ideas should be thrown in as this one isnt the best
It is rather informal and is a bit messy...the purple is just horrid I think
I would assume another globe explosion thing at the end of the titles would do

isn't this the BREAKFAST thread? unless it's changed suddenly? this should be disgussed in the Great BBC news shuffle thread!

i prefer the swirl in instead of a simple fade, it keeps the enery of the fast titles running into the studio, instead of stopping it with a fade

I really like the new titles. It's quite a clever and subtle change. It keeps the nationals in line with N24, but give them a distinctive look to match the new set.

I also think the new set is great. It's adaptable and makes excellent use of the space available. So what if they've got a hybrid ITV/Sky set - it works! Abit too much standing up and prancing around on a area slightly larger than the dancefloor in your averge club, but I'm sure afew tweaks in the presentation style may happen over the coming weeks.

Breakfast reverted back to the titles with 'BBC NEWS' spinning about rather than a very ITV style 'BBC News'

Lovely titles. Surprised

Am I the only one who thinks Breakfast's titles look rather cheap?

Something about the style of them makes them look like the kind of hastily put together graphics you might get to accompany a news report. I quite like the idea behind them, but they just need a bit of 'polishing' if you know what I mean.

Am I the only one who thinks they look like a film reel? Personally can't understand the relevence of it.

It would just look soooo much better with either of these backgrounds...

It's not to say that they won't be used in the future when the sun is actually rising at breakfast time rather than already up and blazing bright!

It really does look so much better, though...they should set it up so that it goes from that to the current blue sky photos gradually throughout the programme. It strikes me as strange that they're not already doing this, to show off the amazing sunrise shots.

If they're waiting for the actual sunrise to occur during the programme, surely there will come a point when the programme will begin with a night sky and stars in the background!!
