Presumably the [B][B][C] logo is deemed so iconic as to not be a purely "roman" character set based image.
"ARABIC" in roman characters rather than Arabic script would be a bit "Euro-centric" wouldn't it?
ISTR that the original BBC World Arabic TV service just had a BBC dog (no other roman ident)

Don't know if David Lowe was responsble or not, but given his involvement in the recent World Service audio rebrand it certainly is a possibility.
BTW: The full TOTH countdown music for Arabic TV is currently being used as a bed for a TV promo being aired on Arabic Radio. I've no idea how frequently it is getting played, but it does mean the music is out there now.
The link will go up on bbcarabic.com/tv as the new site is put live over the course of tomorrow.

The bit behind the presenters is real, although there is some very clever trickery in one of the shots. Keep your eyes open Tuesday, see if you can spot the join.

Sorry, don't recognise that. Might be used for a programme or feature but isn't the main theme they have used for the pilots.
