It was facininating listening to that. It was amazing how she switched from authoritive mode to media-luvvie all the time......and as for the humming
What was most surprising I thought was how she was changing part of the script (albeit only slightly) just minutes before going on air (.....or so she thought
)
Excellent upload!
I suspect the echoing footsteps was just over the built up circular area around the desk. Imagine the whole set is simply covered in the same cheap laminate flooring you find in most homes these days......but this wouldn't echo where it is laid directly on the solid studio floor....would it

So the floor is made of real wood in N6.. or at least based on the knocking voice of steps.

Indeed.
Changes to latest scores in football matches is quite common, with the autocue reading "Torquay 27, Manchester United 0", but the newsreader reading out the actual score, scribbled on a piece of paper, as given to them over the talkback during the preceeding recorded piece.

If I remember correctly it was a breaking story from Isreal on a suiside bombing and as such the script was open to change at any stage.
Yep - it is one reason why the BBC still prefer to do their BBC One bulletin headlines live (with very few exceptions - usually when the presenter is at an OB) It means that they can update them right up to transmission - unlike other broadcasters who pre-record their headlines.

Was a rather bizarre error on the One just now. Not quite sure what happened, the transmission at the Wembley piece just went kaput leaving Anan looking a bit bewildered.

I don't understand this reference. It just sounds like her being northern to me
I'm guessing you are not from "oop North" (as I am) or know many people from there. I've just listened to it again, and she doesn't sound northern.........it's not like she was calling people "chuck" (although that's a bit of a characature!)
