What are the chances that the vast majority of the programme's viewers won't have even noticed? Wink

Another small mistake at the end of the 19.00 update. Natasha said 'we'll be back tomorrow at six. Have a good weekend.'

Anyhow, I haven't anything to say on the subject except feel slightly embarrassed for whoever fired the wrong sting. It's a bit like a continuity announcer saying the wrong name, or the wrong time on their symbol. The first can be traced to misinformation, the second well... and it's happened! "It's one o'clock (pause) it's ten o'clock".

Dear Cowboy AJA

I saw them run the '1' sting on the rehearsal but assumed they'd have noticed..! I'll phone next time Smile

Yeehar!

Only on News 24.

Yeah, I heard that too. Actually, this may be the main reason why the BBC is so slow dealing with breaking news. It does not fit into the rehearsing schedule. Wink

Of course not - they rehearse the headlines, plus any complicated graphics sequences etc.

Of course not - only HTV West have to do that... (They admitted as much recently in an article about their playout system.)

The BBC One news bulletins usually rehearse their headlines and any complicated graphics sequences that are done live on transmissions. They normally do that any time between 30 mins and 30 seconds before transmission.

This may be of intrest to you click

Taken a while back now from the news online video feed of I think the 10 which started recording to early, so you can hear Jane rehearsing lines... and making up some headlines, worth a listen. I also love how she can switch from "causal" to "newsreader"

It was very interesting. So the floor is made of real wood in N6.. or at least based on the knocking voice of steps.
