BBC 6 O'clock news Mistake

There's just been an appaling mistake on the six. The 1 O'clcok news titles were used instead. Has this ever happened before?

Well it's back to the 6 o'clcok graphic on George's screen now.

I too noticed this, weird.

They're just experimenting.. Same editor, same titles...

... and appear to be embarrassed enough not to provide a stream of it online tonight.

In reference to this thread.. we can't all be perfect! Honestly, does it deserve a thread of its own?

I did wonder about that. But I thought that an error on this scale (because let's face it, this was a bloody huge error), was not worth just mentioning in the BBC News Thread. I found it quite amusing, but I'm sure loads will have not seen it. Thanks to one poster in this thread, anyone who missed the error can view it by clicking on the link above.

Well, the 10 o'clock titles were used for the ten.

Sorry... (mounts his horse)... I think it does, because lengthy generic threads do not attract the immediate attention of everybody. I mean, perhaps there is a place to discuss Natasha Kaplinsky's facial expressions, something for the generic thread... but something a little out of the ordinary, what's the harm in having its own thread. Sure, it'll be commented on for a bit, then sink to the bottom. (Dismounts horse and feeds it a lump of sugar).

Anyhow, I haven't anything to say on the subject except feel slightly embarrassed for whoever fired the wrong sting. It's a bit like a continuity announcer saying the wrong name, or the wrong time on their symbol. The first can be traced to misinformation, the second well... and it's happened! "It's one o'clock (pause) it's ten o'clock".
