We had head over the weekend that they were going to review how they operate to reduce staff being in NBH. Additional simulcasting seems the most likely answer than an issue with E.
Because obviously it's so much safer to have Ben Brown sat in the newsroom rather than in studio E...
If they want to reduce contact within the newsroom surely the key is getting people in as close to air time as possible and then out as soon as they are off air rather than have split shifts with long periods of hanging about in the newsroom in the middle of two spells on air.
No Vicki Young who was Chief Political correspondent became
Deputy Political Editor replacing Pinaar
.... so Adam is in Vicki's old job ..
And I cannot see the BBC replacing Norman Smith
As Assistant polictical,editor ...

Actually I'd rather they used more than one studio and took the time to ensure everyone got in and out with minimal risk and appropriate sanitising, than rush them in and out.
I think today is a shining example of there actually being no cuts this Xmas to pres staffing.
Quite surprised to see Clive pop up for the afternoon and Jane Hill stand down right after the 1, with a little Shaun Ley in between.
As I mentioned earlier - these briefings are not planned as such, but thrown out as when it is deemed necessary. Having a couple, or more pres on site seems perfectly normal in the current climate.
