I’ve never understood the idea that some people would get annoyed with a London background. Everyone knows it comes from London so why would it matter.

It'll be interesting to see if there's any scheduling changes on BBC One today, given the likely covid update along with the Brexit debate/vote in parliament.

Also switching from the News Channel to BBC Parliament when they cut to a covid briefing it was noticable reduction in picture quality and step back in time with the graphics. Unless I'm mistaken it's broadcasting in 14:9 instead of 16:9.

COVID update maybe, but the Brexit debate will be as tedious as they usually are and better snipping the key moments for the bulletins.
