Will 'the Bubble' be in use?

But the corporation said that 1980 punk song I'm In Love With Margaret Thatcher - the subject of a pro-Thatcher Facebook campaign - would be played in full on the Chart Show if it reached a high chart position.
Why? This clearly has nothing to do with politics. The Ding Dong song quite rightly won't be played because it would potentially cause grave offence to a grieving family - in exactly the same way the BBC often pulls drama programmes if their content is deemed insensitive in light of events in the news.
The other song won't cause such offence and there's therefore no reason not to play it.

Also, despite the title, I don't think the other song is exactly pro- Thatcher. Also, like I said earlier, if "Ghost Town" or some other song which protested her policies charted, it would be played also.

I heard someone this week suggest Tramp The Earth Down by Elvis Costello as a much better protest song for this week - lyrics. Of course not only is it musically better but it does contain some context which Ding Dong doesn't. Although I imagine if that made it to the charts it's playing would be much more controversial purely because it is specifically about her burial

Something else I've just learned: The core service coverage is a BBC/Sky co-production. AFAIK, ITN don't have any rights - beyond, presumably, fair 'news rights' use. So they'll have SNG trucks around the Cathedral, but I don't believe they'll be allowed to show anything live from inside it.
