Of course the PM's Director of Communications is ex-BBC so maybe you might be onto something Wink

Dont forget his missus works on the NC too!

Has she been spotted today?

She broke the news!

So when would this BBC One programme have been made? For example, when would the bits with David Cameron in have been filmed?

I did have to smile at seeing the smooth introduction into the speech. Whether it was cued or just Cameron watching on a screen for when they went back to George, it worked very well. And why shouldn't they coordinate it on the most watched(?) news programme. Certainly beats the number of times they've crashed into a speech or filled whilst we stare at a empty podium.

Shame about the titles though, they really need some music that matches it - or just use the old one for those occasions.

In all honesty the coverage hasn't been as overblown as I thought it would be. Sky and BBC news naturally giving it full focus but BBC1 and ITV1 have been following the normal schedule.

Did you want them to come on air before they announced it then?

I think the BBC's coverage has been good. Clearly well prepared for this event. If all the Daily Mail can pick the BBC up on is a brief typo on its website, it has done well:
