Done with pleasure!!! And I wish people would stop peddling the tired old chestnut myth he's unsportsmanlike and arrogant, too!!! He's the best F1 driver the sport's had, period.

But not, sadly, the reference to yawnworthy and unsportsmanlike Michael Schumacher..

But it isn't yawnworthy if another driver goes off on his own and wins the race?

As I see this thread's another one that takes the mickey about me and my interests, I will avoid it. Go victimise another poor sod and leave me alone.

Yes it's all about you isn't it. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Some serious banter on MT tonight. Steve was filling in for Nick, so we had a least 5 minutes on....................................wait for it................................
Knitting. Yes the lastest superstar must have, knitting needles and wool.
Alison Marsh did her best impresion of Mother Twa*nky, and passed with flying colours.
Steve was superb very compitant on the desk. We should have more of him. If only weekend and lunchtime bulletins.

oh yes, we were blessed with banter of the highest order. i do not think its an exaggeration to say they devoted a huge chunk of the show to knitting. there was the usual "i am a nit" jokes etc - and mike even joined in on the lunchtime about "nit one pearl one".

and now i think we know why alison only ever appears on screen once in a blue moon, she is a self confessed knit-o-holic. i loved the bit about cyber-knitters Laughing

perhaps this is chas staking his claim on the banter watch title.

With all the wind-up merchants in this place It's pretty damn hard to tell, especially as Peter and Paul are in the logo.... conveniently enough.... what am I supposed to believe?

I don't see why you think this has anything to do with you, this thread is simply to appreciate the excellent banter that is so important in regional news.

As Gavin has said, Reporting Scotland lacks banter but Jackie's fab strutting around the studio kinda makes up for it. I would enjoy some banter with the weather presenter though, I find her one-winged-chicken impression tiresome now.

The trouble with knitting is that it's all a load of balls.

Breaking Banter..........(sorry couldn't resist that one)
Moira was on full form after the headlines at 8:30 this morning. She was talking about Breakie picking up the awards and Natasha winning Newscaster of the year Surprised . Quite rare to see Moira crack a joke, very funny.

What exactly was the joke from Moira? (Other than the fact that Natasha winning an award is in itself a joke........................)

As I said above, Moirabanter is edge of your seat stuff, because it happens so, so rarely.

"And the bit you did'nt tell them about, where Moira got up and thanked her plants, her pets......"
"I told you not to tell them that"
Im reverting from memory so it might not be percise, but that was the jist of the joke.
Moira Banter is brilliant, as in deed is the presenter

Funny you should say that, as I really get the needle with those that knit near me...
