Yes, here it is, a unique public service for TV Forum, from the people who brought you TV Forum Watch, I give you..... BANTER WATCH.

The purpose being to bring together all those noteable moments that make the news worth watching........ the BANTER. Those little interactions between the presenters, the weather personnel, and the flirty asides to the on-location reporter. It's what makes it all worthwhile, and one of my true reasons for living.

So get observing those classic moments of banter about the colour of the weathermans jacket, his inability to forecast, the main presenters dubious hair and those constant references to "washing your winter woolies" and declare them here. They're too good to be tucked away in the regional threads. Together we will create the UK's first digest of TV news witty banter.

little or no banter on tonights midlands today. bob did banter tonight on central with arati about his "how fast can everyone text in to say 'i love central news' competition", but i couldnt understand what arati was saying back to him.

with helen whatsit leaving look north, i wonder if this thread may suggest look north hull is no longer the banter capital of britain. i dont think even chubby chops could banter with himself.

Can someone tell me why Peter Levy is so cringeworthy? He makes my TV turns itself off and run down the road to Boston when he starts bantering!

I think this is an excellent idea. As Andrew says, Hull is no longer banter capital of the world - so this thread serves an important service.

I'm afraid I may not be able to add much to this I'm afraid as cold Emily Maitlis struggles with the autocue never mind banter - and Ali on London Tonight just tends to shout a bit during the end of the programme and Katie giggles.

But of course I will keep my *EYES PEELED* I suggest you do too.

Whilst listening to LBC 97.3, as I regularly do - Peter Deeley just read a text message out from someone and it read...

"I don't watch BBC London News. Instead I watch BBC Look North for East Yorkshire. It's very funny. Particularly at weather time."

So there you go - do Londoner's still perceive Hull to be banter capital of the world? Maybe Peter is still bantering along nicely and we just haven't been appreciating it.

But not, sadly, the reference to yawnworthy and unsportsmanlike Michael Schumacher. Even *he* is sick of that mention now.
