She should be the anchor host, she has already shown she is better than the lot of them. If not, then she should at least do bulletins such as lunchtime- and if she doesn't want to do that from London then theres no reason why they couldn't film it from Granada

It would be interesting pairing Lucy with Alistair Stewart, a professional Anchor Team.
Now, we know as July rolls round it's silly season for many regional news programmes but does Croney's Tour of Talent really merit having half of Granada Reports devoted to it?
In previous years these summer segments have run for around 5 or so lighthearted and characterful minutes each evening, which seemed to be an appropriate length of time. Even with the recent overdue sunshine the focus of the programme has to be largely news and not magazine style fluff. Where's the authority gone from a once respected television format and why?
Sad news about Tony, he and Lucy had a great partnership on Granada Reports and he has never been replaced.
Hope Granada do a good tribute to him, the one person to present it is Lucy.
As I said in the Official Thread, I have only just heard about this tragic news, I will in time add a Tribuite on my Website, however, I am not near the Official Computer at the moment so it may take a few days.
