Granada Reports does have its fair share of pointless mumbo jumbo, but from a presentation view it has improved, the set is a million times better, graphics and astons look more correct and swish these days. Plus you also know what to expect now, as there are always two presenters these days, as they usually had one from time to time, plus it covers the Sport well too.

If the decline in NWT is down to their Editor who left Granada is the improvement in Granada Reports down to a change there, or have they got better because they don't do her rubbish anymore??

Was Granada Reports shown at 19:30 on Thursday evening, after Emmerdale.?.

Also, who presented the Lunchtime News today.?.

No it wasn't. Only a few regions had a Regional Programme on Thursday. Those who were in the area around London.
I think it was Maria Gearing.

Just turned on Granada Reports and they have re-introduced a DOG on-screen. Also noticed that they are using animated astons but animate to the right of the screen rather than the traditional left.

They seemed to have altered the astons and graphocs again on Granada Reports this evening.

What happened to the Meridian type which they used before, which were much better and jazzy.?.

They are going to the right again, instead of the left.

I noticed this as well, and I think they had some trouble with graphics yesterday. The lunchtime news bulletin had no headlines and the stories seemed very rushed. Granada Reports must have reverted back to the old graphics because there may have been a problem with the current one.
Anyway the Meridian style graphics came back on the late news bulletin and it seems it's back to normal now.

Rob Smith is presenting Granada Reports with Lucy tonight, which he hasn't done before, I think?

He also presented today's lunchtime Granada News, from what I saw he was very good.

Far better than Alistair Mann and even Tony Morris.

I still think So Rahman is missed from the late bulletin. I noticed another presenter fronted last nights Shariah TV Special.

Yes, I thought he was very good too. He's been a very good addition to the team.
While it was sad to see So go, I don't think his departure - and certainly not the departure of Peter Berry - has affected the quality. If anything the standards continue to rise.
I think the whole show is a lot better than it was - far more news in it but it still retains the Granada light touch.

Peter Berry has left? Well maybe there is hope for Granada then!

There's no official confirmation, but as he hasn't been doing the morning shifts for ages now, we can presume so. When they moved into the new studio, you could see he was uncomfortable on the seat, probably more used to the CSO and the comfy chair. But I still miss the tagline on the 10.55 bulletin..

"Our next bulletin is in the ITV1 Lunchtime News at 1.10, from all of us here, Good Morning, Good Bye, Bye Bye"
