I have also frequently wondered the same thing. What does CSO mean? Also, who are the main anchors on Granada Reports?

It's almost 20years since I have seen that particular programme. As a young Scotsman, I only used to ever see it when I was down in Blackpool for the school holiday period in October.

Takes me back.................

I believe its Lucy Meacock and Tony Morris who are the anchors on Granada Reports.

I too only see Granada reports occasionally when im up in Granada Land!

It is good to see Granada are using the Main Studio ratrher than the CSO.

Normally they just use the CSO, even on Bank Holidays.

Whats the CSO? On ITV Wales News they have used the smaller studio (the one they use for GMTV and weekend bulletins) rather than the main studio, these past 2 days. I think GMTV bulletins are back tommorow arent they?

Unlike ITV Wales News, Granada News only has 2 studios, the main studio and the CSO studio, which is usually used for GMTV bulletins and shorter bulletins, the main studio only used to be used for the main Granada Reports programme, but since it went generic they've been using alot more. The CSO background is only all the blue ITV squares in the background in the style of the old ITV1 generic ident and a huge yellow rectangle on the right hand side that has 'Granada News Granada News' on it and several times below.

At lunchtime today I think So Rahman was trying to confuse us by saying ITV as many times in a sentence, he said about the Asia disaster and that you can keep up to date with ITV Granada, ITV1 and ITV News Channel.

ITV Wales only have 2 studios as well, the main one which is used for the 6pm bulletin as well as the mid morning, lunchtime and afternoon bulletins, and also the small studio used for GMTV/Weekend bulletins.

Has Lucy Meacock got married over Xmas?, only I spotted a sparking wedding band on her 3rd finger. I know she was engaged but heard they had parted over the summer.
Anyone know?

Ahem.

How is it you spell Cymru, again? How is it you resize pictures so Mr TwoJags doesn't look as if he's fifty-three stone?

Pots and kettles spring to mind, Mr Liftshaft.

I am not exactly sure where this image came from but it looks to me like the London Tonight studio screen but the angle at which she is and the height suggests that she is sitting down. Can anyone shed some light on it.

Slightly OT, but when I was walking down Knutsford Road in Warrington this afternoon, I couldn't help notice a Granada van going past me, now I think it was for News, as it looked like an OB truck or something, but on the side it had the old Granada logo from the early 1990's, with 'GRANADA TELEVISION' all over it. Anyone seen any other trucks or any recent ones?
