She was on Lookaround this evening.

Now the Manchester background is used on the late news instead of the moving blue squares.

The Manchester background seems to be a thing that goes on or off when ever they feel like it, the other morning they used it 10.55am, the day after they used the squares and today they used the background.

The Manchester background looks good, but I find it strange they point the camera AT Granada TV Studios.

It's been an interesting Granada Reports tonight, Anthony Wilson being back on the programme, only as a Studio guest, as he's part of a consurtium who wants to regenerate East Lancashire and rename it Pennine Lancashire. (Yes, I'm just as confused really)

The look on Tony Morris' face was priceless after the ITV News promo for the interview with Pol Pot's henchman.

They should use the Manchester Background all the time.

I also noticed that on Sunday's evening bulletin, it had a preview of what's on Granada Reports on Monday, it had Tony and Lucy at one of the plasmas. I've not seen this before, so I'm thinking its a new thing or has it been going on for a while.

Looks like Morticia Adams on a bad day.

It appears now that Granada are using the Manchester backdrop for most of the updates, apart from the GMTV updates.

I wonder if they will use the Manchester backdrop for the weekend news updates.

The Manchester background is now used on weekends as well, so that leaves the GMTV bulletins using the blue squares background.
