So that's why Granada Reports has been shown on the ITV News Channel today instead of London Today!

It makes such a change to see another region on the news channel!

Yeah I noticed that, at first it was London Today, in 4:3 Letterbox, then a few minutes it was Granada News in normal NC mode. Agree makes a change, though I thought they would have shown on Granada Reports at 6.00pm, but they didn't.

Does Pete Berry present often? I noticed him presenting the mid-morning summary today, tbh he is a bit life-less, even with the Liverpool Champs League story he barley raised an eyevrow, let alone a smile.

Shame So Rahman departed, by far Granada's best presenter.

Tonight, Granada Reports has turned red, no guesses why. And everything apart from the titles has turned to red, see the caps below.

Like the way they had ditched the sofas and gone for the ITV News type of look, even if it is one night only.

Looked good tonight - and got simulcast on ITV News at 6pm.

That desk though looks so small without the sofas - can't understand why they left it there?

I've said before in discussing ITV regional news studios the big screen would be much better used if it wasn't behind the sofas. If they could put the plasma and sofas on one side and the big screen on the other, they'd have a much more effective studio space.

They often kind of do that on Calendar, have the presenters sat on one of the side 'guest' benches

It looks better how it is, and nice for the views.
London's is deff the best one, followed by Calendar. Merdidian has a nice finish, but the screen spoils it. Centrals is nice because it doesnt have the mucky yellow behind the plasmas, but what lets that down is the positioning of the seats, too low. If you look at central's seats the backs are much bigger than the others, so they are lower down and miss half the view, and close ups are bad, as the seat behind takes up half the screen.

I managed to watch Granada Reports for the first time in a couple of weeks tonight, but what I want to know is how long have they had an Entertainment Reporter?

...I bet there's a 'Granada Life' correspondent next. Rolling Eyes

Caroline Hacking joined Granada Reports when it re-launched in February.
