Good question, we know she has some time off, but three weeks in a row, surely not? Ann O'Connor is quite good, it's just a shame it isn't Tony Morris who isn't off, as his forced banter and jokes are getting annoying now.
I think I now why So Rahman was off for quite long, he last year presented a programme on Channel 4 late at night called Shariah TV, which has come back for a new series, so I presume he's presenting that, in London.
I also noticed today that the plasmas in the Breakfast bulletins have GMTV and not Granada News, is this only a recent thing as I never usually watch GMTV.

Where has Lucy gone? she has not been on for over 3 weeks now so Ann O'conner has been filling her shoes.

The GMTV Logo has been on the Plasmas since mid February, a week or so after the new-look was introduced.
I thought the April Fool about Tony Morris joining a Rugby Team was quite good.

Hi Benjamin,
I'm glad someone knows who I am... I wonder myself sometimes.
Well it's fun in here, isn't it? It's a bit scary knowing people are watching what we do... but I'll try not to think about it too much!!
Re the point about Lucy, I believe she's back next week. Although Ann's awfully good too, don't you think?
Best wishes,
Andy

I'm sure it's nothing to do with the fact that they're operating on about a third of the normal amount of staff today because of the strike...

jdtech, I'm presuming by your user name that you've got some idea about how live studio output works. My point was, as DJ Dave realised, that they usually have someone in sound to mute the microphones whilst the reports are on. The levels were all over the place so I presume there's no-one (or no-one who knows what they're doing) looking after the sound during the bulletin.
Her throat wouldn't be - unless there is an "Ann O'Connor throat sweet administrator?"...

Its the plasma in the background that I always notice. The Granada Reports title on the screen always looks over-stretched and out of proportion, but luckily its been changed today on the bulletin. Also, i'm noticing a green colour on the news desk. Its not the reflection of a chroma key background, because the screen is genuine.
