Really!!!

Well I must agree that the BBC One coverage is poor. Even a short simulcast on BBC Two could have sufficed.

I must say that I think its pretty appalling that BBC One's schedule has not been altered in the slightest today (correct me if it was), considering the size of death toll at the *start* of the day, never mind now...

Tempted to use the H-word, but not sure who's responsible for the decision. There hasn't been much in the afternoon/evening schedule that couldn't have been tx'd at a later date.

Oh who wants miserable stuff like this on telly at Christmas. I want to live in a ubble of joyful capitalism.

Not sure how long they've been using them, but BBC One's topographic maps and globe are the best I've seen in a long time..

Well, as I imagined the dreadful Anya Sitaram was on schedule but Nik Gowing took her place, but he must have gotten tired and let Anya have her try. By the way if I were Anya I would be quite angry about that...

Why should see be angry, it's gives her more time to look beautiful and she is earning money at the same time!

On a slightly mundane note, News 24 seem to have changed their slug from "ASIA QUAKE" to "ASIAN QUAKE". Pedants phoning the duty office, perhaps?

It's not even that - deaths are now being reported in eastern Africa. 16 dead in Somalia and more in Kenya. Parts of Tanzania have been evacuated....
