I must say that I think its pretty appalling that BBC One's schedule has not been altered in the slightest today (correct me if it was), considering the size of death toll at the *start* of the day, never mind now...
Tempted to use the H-word, but not sure who's responsible for the decision. There hasn't been much in the afternoon/evening schedule that couldn't have been tx'd at a later date.

Well, as I imagined the dreadful Anya Sitaram was on schedule but Nik Gowing took her place, but he must have gotten tired and let Anya have her try. By the way if I were Anya I would be quite angry about that...

It's not even that - deaths are now being reported in eastern Africa. 16 dead in Somalia and more in Kenya. Parts of Tanzania have been evacuated....
