UTV are not taking the ITV News special Tsunami they are showing Sport On Sunday .SMG stations are both airing the ITV News special and according to the SKY listings UTV are supposed to be showing Tsunami.All very odd i did see a promo on UTV for Gerry Kelly at 6.25 pm.

How very typical of UTV, I don't know how they get away with it.

Especially as the ITV News Summary at 5.35 with James Mates was basically an advert for the News Special. I thought it was a requirement that all news from ITN must be networked?

Julian has just informed us that it's on tonight at 10pm although still odd UTV should air a Gerry Kelly special with Maureen O'Hara i'm sure viewers would rather see the ITV News special.

Mark Austin is doing a very good job of holding this all together.

After the ITN endcap on tonights programme STV treated us to their festive ident and jingle playing along with announcer saying that was an ITV News special etc etc .The little festive jingle was not appropriate.The TC should have just put up a simple STV caption.

Couldn't Agree more. That was the saddest thing i have watched in a while but ITV's coverage was superb. As good as it gets.

I missed it , will it be repeated?

10pm on UTV it seems, if you have DSAT. Or the ITV News Channel may well repeat it later this evening or overnight.

Try and watch the repeat if there is one.
it was a very good program, the end package was very sad..

They did keep with the ITN caption for at least 15 secs so they probably had to do something quickly to fill up the time.

It's repeated at 11.15pm on the ITV News Channel

I also thought it was very good how ITV1 presentation showed the sombre ident again at the end, to avoid the problem of a loud trailer coming straight on.
