Well although not exactly TV orientated.... BBC Radio Suffolk this morning were going on and on about their Breakfast presenter being selected for the GB Archery team to the Beijing olympics! The 9am news then started with a story that households in Ipswich would be getting a fourth "red" bin - specially for materials that might cause allergies in binmen!
I must admit that I half fell for the penguins this morning. I thought "that can't be real", but the way they packaged it as an iPlayer advert was so convincing.
And the amount of Licence Fee money spent on that... Well worth it I think!
As soon as it came on, I thought 'April Fool', but with all the proper branding like you said, i had myself thinking 'Wow, how fantastic! I must go to BBC iPlayer now.
I don't care how much money it cost, imo it it the best April Fool thing on TV up to now!
I when they swapped round ITV and BBC in the swear filter on here a few years back.
I nearly repeated this earlier this morning, and in fact did for a couple minutes. Then I remembered how annoying it becomes after a while of having that filter in place.
