I'm sure we will have some April Fool gems in the news tomorrow, so lets have a thread for suspect stories. Be warned, some Government policy announcements may be genuine...

I can't remember what we had last year, but the most famous of them all has to be Panorama's Spaghetti Tree.

Anyone see that GMTV LK Today advert for tommorow, talking about some wrinkle cream a woman who was 20 stone tried, and now she has lost 5 stone? She looked like she was wearing a body suit, keep an eye out for that!

I know GMTV done an april fools like this last year, about H20, bottled water which claimed to have made a whole family loose weight.

One of the best I can think of recently (well, a decade a go!) was on The Big Breakfast in either 1998 or 1999 when they were doing their regular "Dome Watch" feature and the Dome was "on fire"...

... and the London Fire Brigade were then inundated with calls!

Yes, because people always ring the Big Breakfast before the fire brigade.

Why is it a day for practical jokes when traditionally it is the pagans new year?

Although it's not strictly News ISTR either in 2000 or 2001 on an April 1st edition of SM:tv Live, Dec fainted on-screen, but of course it was a prank, but it didn't go down too well mind you.

In Granada-land there seems to be a well known April fools Prank from the early 1990's with Paul Crone deliberately putting up a toll both at the exit of a Service station somewhere on the M6 and the motorists were livid that they had to pay to use the Motorway. How times change....

One to watch out for tomorrow - I've heard that Jacqui Smith is set to announce that the government is going to get a grip of violent crime Laughing

Not as funny as all the ones he put up accidentally.
