Andrew Marr is going from current job

Now that Mark Mardell has been made Europe Editor, do you think that the BBC will unveil the new political editor, along with the new chief political correspondant together?

Anyone know how long 'till the Beeb makes a decision?

They'll probably wait until late July or early August before announcing it (presuming that Andrew Marr will take a break before doing the new programme). I'm guessing that the new chief political correspondent will be replacing Mark Mardell - I think it will probably be Guto Harri again.

It won't be Guto - he's off to America IIRC, and Guto has only been the Chief Political Coreespondant on News24, not for BBC One.

Typically well-written by Marr - a really superb journalist.

Today is officially Andrew Marr's last day as Political Editor. Does anyone know when Nick Robinson is set to take over?
