Andrew Marr taking over from David Frost to present Breakfast with.....?
That seems like a very poor idea to me. Hes a good reporter but wheres his presenting background. I find him uninteresting and dull in interviews so theres no way i'm going to watch a dull hour of him on a sunday morning.
Its another example of the bbc picking the wrong person to host a show, Andrew Neil would be my choice but hes working a full week with the daily politics and this week for most of the year.

I agree Andrew Neil is good, but at least give Andrew Marr a chance to settle and make it his own - why are people so quick to judge people before they have performed.
And yes I know he filled in for SIr David before, but now he will have a chance to put his own stamp on the slot, and it may turn out to be "dull", but at least give him a chance to settle in.

Humm... Have you seen BBC News recently?
I personally think Andy will be an excellent replacement. There was a programme on recently abour the three main Political editors in TV (Andy, Nick and Adam). Andy came across as the best thing since sliced bread and his book really are LOL!
Anyway Breakfast with Marr, I would presume will the name and my TV set shall be tuned.
Joel.

I dont like his style and i'm not going to watch it , listening to him on that radio 4 morning book plug show , Start the Week has been enough to put me off it for good.
I wasnt aware he had presented BWF before , i always enjoyed Peter Sissons when he was on the show. Hes another one i'd prefer to see hosting it.
Anyone know when Frost finishes?

Will Moira still be involved in the Sissons programme, Marcus, perhaps reading the bulletins from the N24 News Desk????
Oh joy.......Let's hope so!

The News 24 set? It's going to be crowded in there on Sundays what with Dateline London at 11.10am, unless they move that permanently to the national news set (they don't seem to be able to decide which they prefer at the moment).
Will the new show be simulcast on N24 too or is this just a summer cost-cutting measure?

- not to mention his day-jobs as Editor-in-Chief of the Scotsman, Spectator, The Business and The Scotland on Sunday newspapers (and probably a few more titles).
Whilst I would certainly like to see the BBC use Andrew Neil more than now (why, for example, was he not used on the Election night programming?), I'm not sure he's the natural choice for a relaxed Sunday morning interview programme.

Dateline London is permanently in the n24 studio. It was only presented in the national news studio a couple of weeks ago because they were doing rolling news coverage of the VE Day ceremonies from the n24 studio.
Also, I would be very surprised if the programme was called "Breakfast With Marr" - I think that the Beeb would prefer a fresher title in case there were too many comparisons made between Marr and Frost - perhaps "Morning with Marr"

Thought I would bring this topic back to the top since it appears that there will also be a new Chief Political Correspondent for BBC News, as Mark Mardell has got the new Europe Editors post.
Perhaps Martha may take this post if she thought Political editor would be too much, or maybe C4 News is the one for her?
Also, anyone see Sir David Frost on Breakfast this morning?
Desmond Tutu will apparently be on the last show, along with Sir John Major and Lord Kinnock, as mentioned on last Sundays show.
