There was also another ill-advised venture on Saturday mornings in the summer of 2004 called In The Know which was simulcast on BBC1 and News 24 and was a live sports magazine with John Inverdale and Louise Minchin, mixed with the usual News 24 hour, which was a bit of a disaster - https://genome.ch.bbc.co.uk/schedules/bbcone/london/2004-06-12#at-9.30

In The Know came from TC7 on a modified Newsnight set, but not modified enough that you couldn't still read the etched Newsnight in the backings...

From the looks of this article they used the Breakfast sofa, too (which would also have been from TC7 at the time).

That summer also saw the Saturday morning output switched to BBC2 for the first time, and I think when they made the switch full time from Jan 2006 they used the example of the summer 2004 experiment as justification as it barely dented the CBBC ratings. They probably also discovered that Saturday cookery rated rather well on BBC1...

Good, I never understand why they moved it in the first place.

It'll just mean Sophy Ridge returns to 10am as before.
