Made it to air about 10 minutes late but using the other side of the studio- the area Sunday Politics used. Problem with the news. They crossed to Chris Mason in Salford but it seems there was an issue with him having no autocue feed - and perhaps the bulletin doesn't have a paper backup script.

The news bulletin would have covered a wider range of stories than was covered by the short period on the news channel. It probably is also used to get guests in position for the next interview.
The paper review was curtailed and they've probably ended up back in time now.
Considering viewers had 10 minutes of the BBC News channel, couldn't they have dropped the Marr Show bulletin, and potentially paper review to save time?

The news channel also didn't pause to allow a cleaner opt although they trailed BBC 1 crossing to Marr.
Also, the symbol into Marr at 9:10ish had no CA.

Jo Swinson on Twitter has said they were due to be in Studio A (green studio) but due to last minute technical problems they swapped to B but on the opposite side to normal.
Galleries for the two studios are in different locations and I think A used robotic cameras while B are far more manual though can be remotely controlled to some degree?

The programme has run without probably anyone noticing anything since the news bulletin was abandoned.
I imagine the Marr show can be a relatively simple programme from a technical perspective - a small number of VT's, very few outside sources (weather and one interview from Salford) and then minimal astons and manual cutting between cameras.

I thought that too. It’s a main headline! Amazing how self important some of these media organisations can be.

The programme producer posted a photo taken at 0851 of them all set to go from studio A so it really was a last minute hitch.
