I think ITV should recruit Kay Burley for the 10.30 pm bulletin. She has a weatlth of experience, is very professional, confident, has bags of personality and would definitely make the bulletin her own - with Leyla Daybelge as her stand-in.

Where are these from or have you just made them up - some look a bit suspect to me!
You have to remember that the 10.30 job involves just presenting a bulletin studio-bound. There's no chance of outside broadcasts so that would probably rule out Mark Austin.
James Mates and Bill Neely also would I doubt want to give up reporting all around the world to be studio bound so that rules them out.
This is how i would arrange it (if they got Dermot murnaghan back)
Lunchtime
Nicholas Owen / Katie Derham (as well as LT)
Evening
Dermot Murnaghan & Mary Nightingale / Nina Hossain
10:30
Mark Austin / Andrea Catherwood fridays
I agree, except for Dermot, I wouldnt have him back, I dont think he can fit in with the current presentation style and presenters. I wouldnt have Katie and Nick doing London Tonight, and I doubt that them both would want to do it.
Andrea Catherwood is typical of the modern day style newscasters who likes to sensastionalise news stories.
She proved this in 2001 when she went to Afghanistan and went too far, (Sadly she got hurt, but went too far).
If we are looking for an outsider ( I mean someone who is not normally in the main frame for presenting the main news, Andrea now covers weekends), why not bring back Alistair Stewart.
