Today, It is 100 days since Alan was last seen. I hope he is released soon but lets just hope the situation doesn't become any worse in Gaza.

Crying or Very sad

It always makes me wonder why they captured him in the first place. He won't be able to give any secret information will he? or is it just a sort of Publicity stunt that is really not right?

Are there any online posters anywhere that can be downloaded, printed and displayed?

I can't find any, it would be good to display some widely to keep him in the public eye tomorrow as it'll be day 100 - unfortunately.

A poster can be downloaded from the NUJ website.

I'm sure Alan features in the 'BBC News has more correspondants in more places than any other broadcaster' trail? Still?

Yep. I can see Alan in there and the narrator bombastically states that 'the BBC has correspondents permanently based in...Gaza...so, <insert shameless plug here>'

And so he damn well should be. He's still part of the BBC team and it's desperately hoped he will return to reporting soon. If they were to have removed him from such promos, it would simply send out the message that the BBC has given up hope on him.

The BBC are planning a vigil across the corporation to make 100 days since Alan was abducted. BBC World and BBC News24 will be covering this at 1415BST. OB's are planned from 15 BBC locations around the World and across the whole of the BBC's output.

Absolutely, but I just thought they may have dropped the promo temporarily until he returns in case it upsets his friends & family. However they've probably been asked and want it to stay.

What an amazing sight that montage of live footage it was across the BBC Centres across the world in support for Alan.

Incredibly moving scenes, quite incredible sights up and down the country. The newsroom shot in London from the top of the staircase really brought it home to anyone watching.

The silence was quite something, too.

I'm not impressed that BBC World went to an ad-break in my region when they cut to the minute of silence. Mad

Just out of interest, who's the guy at the right? Is he from BBC World? Also, how comes News 24 didn't hold up any posters, and where was fiona bruce for the ten and the newsnight presenter (unless Emily). And BBC World - their own correspondent gets kidnapped and vigils are held and they go to an ads break. How bloody stupid.
