It looks like AJB will implement their version of the US visual look. The promos use the US straps and idents are now an AJ logo with a well known place from the region in the background. The music is different, more orchestrated. The on air logo seems a bit glossier and now includes the word Balkans.

We'll see the new look bulletins in 45 minutes.

I wonder if AJE do implement this look, as a Balkans presenter tweeted IIRC. It'd be a shame if they got rid of their theme tune though, I do like it.

Will you be able to get caps, ginnyfan?

Ginnyfan, does it look or sound anything like this?

It's also worth noting that some changes are happening to AJAM on Monday, when the new, reduced schedule goes into effect and when Real Money and Consider This both move into the main New York set.

So, we are in the new look of the news bulletins on AJB. I think the ticker now includes the time DOG

It looks like most of the new idents and news opens are on the Al Jazeera Balkans YouTube page. If you're resourceful, you can also get the livestream to work to see the newscast graphics. To me, it all looks very very similar to AJAM, but not exact. The music is different, and the on screen graphics are very similar, though AJB's bug is in the bottom left, the ticker is opaque, and the clock is orange. AJAM, in comparison, has that stupid bug in the bottom right, and their ticker is slightly transparent. The lower thirds seem to not have quite as chunky version of Helvetica as AJAM. These AJB idents also have an interesting red tinge to them as opposed to AJAM's blue. Overall, I think it looks nice though! It will be interesting to see whether there will be any changes to AJAM or AJE soon.

Your post made me wonder where Stephen Cole went, as I feel like I hadn't seen him on the air in a long time. According to his Linkedin, he left six months ago for a consultant job. A shame, as I really liked him as an anchor.

I don't usually catch the London bulletins, but when I do, it seems to always be Lauren Taylor.

He is probably the only person to have anchored on Sky News, CNN International, BBC World (as it was known at the time), and Al Jazeera.

And Adrian Finighan if he presented on CNN?

Hadn't realised Adrian had worked at Sky News. I know he worked at BBC News (on World and News 24), CNN and Al Jazeera.
