Hopefully it will drown out his ludicrously American pronunciation of the word monarch.
ah, so awkward with Komla doing an interview while the party at Orange Square plays some Black Eyed Peas... I hope that it's not that noisy for the two of them!

Nothing wrong with Komla's pronunciation... And he does work for BBC World News which should not just be British accents.

Impressed with NOS' style,
Ceremonies broadcast with minimal comments, gaps in events filled with reruns of the previous elements with discussion and review.
Srylish.
The YT 1080 stream held up well, apart from during the key elements when it dropped bit rate to accommodate the demand. It rapidly resynched at the higher rate though.

For some reason there were some quite tight restrictions on how much of the NOS coverage could be broadcast, at least via the news agencies: 5 minutes of the balcony, 20 minutes of the investiture etc.
Presumably the BBC had the advantage of being an EBU member
From what I saw CNNI didn't cover this too much, they continued their regular schedule (WBT) and it wasn't even their top story. Same for AJE. BBC World on the other hand had special continuous coverage.

Even in America, Mon-ARK is the lesser-used pronunciation (and not just down to accent), with Mon-ERK being more usual (the difference in pronunciation in that case solely down to accent).

You don't. Sony have a very poor implementation of YouTube. You also can't get subtitles on YouTube or BBC iPlayer via a Sony (so called) smart TV either.

Thank you Bilky. I was beginning to thing that the BBC had officially adopted the awful pronunciation for all their output, both domestic and abroad.
