Here are some new pictures of Nightline courtesy of TV Newser in its new home - Times Square with Martin Bashir and Cynthia McFadden during technical rehearsals. There is also an interview with James Goldston, the new EP, who came from Tonight with Trevor McDonald.

[quote] > Goldston warned against prejudging the show. "I'd like the show to be judged on what we do, rather than a kind of theoretical version of what we might do," he said.

> "My hope and expectation is that we can make the show vibrant again."

> "I think the content, in the end, will be much more important than any changes I'm making to the graphics or the set or the music or any of those things."

> "My clearly stated goal is to grow the audience. That's my number one priority."

LOL - I thought the same Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Why has Martin Bashir become so successful in the US? All he managed to do was make Diana spill the beans (she wwas telling everyone anyway) and then the Michael Jackson thing - which cost millions of dollars in a failed court case.

Surely he is a fairly discredited journalist? Shocked

Well, got a chance to see the "new" nightline under the supervision of Brit James Goldston. The broadcast flowed properly with no difficulties. The music is good. Sets are nothing to rave about, except that Times Square is in the background. Yet, the problem I find is that you dont learn too much about 3 stories in 30 mins so they may want to consider focusing only on 2.

The third wheel of the show - Martin Bashir - finally "presents" Nightline.

You can hear it via this podcast which has the new theme at the beginning and end of the program. Let me know what you think of the music... Very Happy
