Interesting. Desk looks a little bit fussy to me - and the use of white and blue is quite reminiscent of the original ITN News Channel in 2000-ish.
Possibly a little cold in that set-up.
Nice that they appear to be using simple LED lighting to give the studio a number of looks, along with quite old-skool projection. (Reminiscent of late 90s/early 00s BBC studios)
Looks like they've tried to differentiate themselves from Sky News by not having a permanent newsroom backdrop, and ABC Aus (aka AuBC to differentiate from ABC America) have a reputation for good journalism and proper international coverage - so it looks like a good addition.
(ISTR that the BBC and AuBC work quite closely in some regions, and share material)

Or, started as a 24-hour news channel, but today fills their evening schedule with the reruns of shows from main terrestrial channels, and now not even broadcast 24 hours a day.
So, what if Sky News in the UK, AU and NZ relaunches at the same day, with same graphics, same music and same studio features?
Anyway, Good Work ABC, in Australia. (Speaking of that, what if ABC News Now channel and ABC World News in the US did that Australian thing?)
No doubt eleven years after their launch they'll drop the 24 bit of their name in favour of the word "channel". sound familiar?

Looks very nice, simple and clean, totally opposite to Sky, especially their 90's set and newsroom.

And they won't be standing up and be shoved behind a desk 24/7.

Sat in front of badly aligned Barcos and a jittery ticker scrolling below eh Worzel....?

Sky News Australia's newsroom is like all its walls are painted black and is very dark, and I believe its not that old?
Sky News Australia moved to its current studio in mid 2006, it can be a bit cramped, but they do a good job with the resources they have (I did an internship there last year)

That music seems somewhat familiar, I'm thinking Central News?

I'd forgotten just how calm and cool Juanita was! Another ice-maiden, in the mold of Anita McNaught! She is totally unflappable.

Very Central News-esque. I wonder how long these individual shows will last before they realise it's cheaper just to do news, news and more news.
