The images were apparently given to the CIA and the other relevant US investigative teams, and the leak came from over there, according to the Metro today. The alternative, if you want to be cynical or be of a conspiracy theory believing mind, is that they were hushed up over here by our news organisations, but when they were shown on US TV they had no choice but to show them. But in that case, why would they have taken the ABC feed if they already had them?

And I'm sure nothing to do with Fox and The Sun being both closely linked with a Mr Rupert Murdoch. (They love bashing the Guardian on Fox...)

The Sun is pretty well known around the world, but I'm sure it has something to do with News Corp that Fox mention it so frequently. They often have the NY Post in their studios to show off a pointless story.

Fox did say they weren't going to show the ABC pictures. Then showed them later in the day.
